The adoption process

We want to ensure that every dog that we rehome goes to a loving family who understand the commitment that is needed. Before you adopt a dog through us we will discuss in length your home situation, and ensure that you and your family are ready for the new family member.

Before you consider adopting...

there are a few questions you need to ask yourself…

  • Have I got time for a dog in my life?

  • Will the dog be left for long periods of time alone?

  • Do you have the patience to train a new dog?

  • Will you walk your new dog, even in bad weather?

  • Do you have the funds to care for your new dog correctly?

  • Have you considered what will happen to your dog when you go on holiday?

When you adopt a dog

We consider the right home to be the most vital aspect, however, we do ask for an adoption fee to help towards our vets bills, and prepare the next dog for adoption.

Every adult dog will have a number of things already completed, which all cost money. Your dog will have:

  • Microchip

  • V7 Vaccine

  • KC vaccine

  • Rabies Vaccine

  • 4DX for Erlichia / Heart worm / Anaplasmosis, Lyme disease, and the IFAT test for Leishmaniosis

  • Deworming

  • Neutering

  • Tick/flea & Scabies treatment – Simparica

  • EU Passport

The medical bill for every dog that we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome will vary, and this will not include food, treats, collar, lead or a travel box if required. Every dog that stays us with us for some time, has to have regular worming treatments, and routine vet visits.
